Colissimo

Colissimo, a La Poste carrier, integrates with ShipStation to provide domestic and international shipping labels and parcel tracking. The Colissimo integration with ShipStation also supported Colissimo drop-off points, if your customer selects it during checkout from your store.

Connect a Colissimo Account to ShipStation

To connect your Colissimo account to ShipStation:

  1. Select the Colissimo tile and click Connect.

Feature

A4 Drop-off Labels

You can create an A4-sized (210 x 297 mm, close to 8.5" x 11") label where proof of drop off and drop-off instructions are provided as a tear-off element.

Carrier insurance

Shipments in mainland France automatically include insurance for loss or damage up to €23 per kilo (€690 maximum with or without signature).

For shipments greater than or equal to 1kg, an invoice is required for compensation. Review the La Poste website for more details.

You may add carrier insurance to ShipStation shipments for coverage beyond the included insurance.

Void labels

  • Labels voided via ShipStation are not voided in your Colissimo account.

  • Unused labels automatically expire after a period of time.

Customs forms

  • Colissimo includes CN23 customs forms on their labels, but you must fill in the declarations by hand.

  • ShipStation automatically adds the weight per article to the declaration form. To determine the article weight, ShipStation divides the shipment total weight by the number of articles.

Supports Pickup Relay

If your customer selects the Pickup Relay option during checkout, the order will import with the drop-off location as the recipient address. Select a supported Colissimo service when you configure the shipment and create the label normally.

ShipStation will submit international customs information electronically to the carrier.

The carrier integration can be used to create domestic return labels.

ShipStation will display estimated shipping rates for the carrier based on the connected account information and shipment details.

Additional carrier insurance can be purchased through ShipStation.

Shipping labels created for this carrier will include a tracking number that can be used to view the shipment status on the carrier's tracking website. Tracking may not be available for all shipping services.

When tracking is available, ShipStation will automatically track the shipment status and update the tracking status on the Shipments tab. This feature allows for other advanced ShipStation features like delayed notifications and the Branded Tracking Page.

ShipStation can perform an End of Day process for the carrier and submits the shipment information electronically. The End of Day process can be mandatory or optional, based on the carrier and your account with them. A printable file may or may not be available, see the End of Day (PDF).

ShipStation can perform an End of Day process for the carrier and creates an End of Day PDF file that can be printed and provided to the carrier. The End of Day process can be mandatory or optional, based on the carrier and your account with them. The file may or may not be submitted electronically, see End of Day (Electronic).

ShipStation can print the store's logo on shipping labels created for this carrier. Label branding may not be available for all shipping services.

ShipStation can include information that will be displayed on the label as a label message. Label messages may not be available for all shipping services.

The carrier integration can be used to create multi-package shipments, where multiple individual packages are linked together into a single shipment record with a master tracking number.

You can connect this carrier integration to ShipStation multiple times using different account information, and choose which account will be used to create each shipment.

Colissimo Integration Notes

  • Colissimo PUDO (Pickup/Dropoff) Services are Currently Unavailable in ShipStation: Colissimo supports PUDO, but this feature is not yet available in ShipStation. If you don't want these services to appear in your Services drop-down menu, go to Settings > Shipping > Carriers and click the link under the Services heading to remove them. This impacts the following services:

    • DOMESTIC:

      • Point Retrait – Pickup ou en consigne Pickup Station

      • Point Retrait – en Bureau de Poste

    • INTERNATIONAL:

      • Point Retrait – en Bureau de Poste

      • Point Retrait – en relais

      • Point Retrait – Consigne Pickup Station – Sauf France et Belgique

    If you attempt to create a label in ShipStation with one of these services, this error occurs: Le code ou l'adresse point de retrait n'a pas été transmis. That translates to The collection point code or address has not been transmitted in English.

  • Colissimo does not provide rates to ShipStation.

  • If your Ship From Location includes a Company Name, your label will print with the Company Name and not the sender name. If no Company Name is included, the label will print with the sender's name.

  • If using the 8.5"x11" label format, the borders of the label may not print as expected. However, you can still use the label as all required data will still be included.

  • ShipStation's integration with Colissimo does not support third-party billing.
